Proposed Aquatic Centre

The following are the Concept Plans for the new Grey District Aquatic Centre as released by the Aquatic Centre Steering Committee. The plans include a 25m 8 lane lap pool, toddler, learners, hydrotherapy pool, spa pools, two hydro slides, a courtyard and playground area.

The new centre is quite a different concept in swimming from the existing pool.
“With the warm environment and pools options from toddlers to spa pools at temperatures from 32 to 38 degrees swimmers of all ages will be able to enjoy the water seven days a week year round” Mayor and Chair of the Grey District Aquatic Centre Committee Tony Kokshoorn reported.

Pool depths range from a walk in ‘beach’ in the toddlers pool to 3 metres in the main pool so all our existing users should be catered for.
