Functions

The administration of Council is carried out by the Support Services staff.  The main functions of the department are:

• Agendas and minutes for Council meetings
• Elections and referenda
• Citizenship ceremonies/civic functions
• Liquor licensing
• Community Services, eg libraries, swimming pools
• Leases and free-holding of land
• Community grants and funding schemes
• Pensioner housing
• Secretarial and legal advice to Council
• Car parking/vehicle infringement
• Civic Defence and Emergency Management
