Solid Energy Amateur Sports Trust
The object of the trust is to assist amateur sports people in the Buller/Westland region who have been recognised by their sports body to have potential to reach representative level, to participate in training and/or competition that will help them towards reaching a goal in their chosen sport.
Funding rounds are in March and September each year.

Creative Communities Funding
Grey District Council: Local Arts Funding Scheme
Applications for financial grants can be made under the Creative New Zealand local Arts Funding Scheme for distribution to local arts and cultural groups.
Projects must take place in the Grey District Council area and/or produce benefits that are largely experienced within the district, and must be for art or cultural purposes that:
• Increase participation
• Increase community-wide interest
• Enhance and strengthen and local arts sector.
Funding rounds are in March and August/September each year and application forms will be available then.

Sport New Zealand Rural Travel Fund
Applications for financial assistance under the SPARC Travel Fund can be made for distribution to junior winter sport.
Applications for the rural travel fund is open to rural sports clubs and rural schools teams with young people aged between 5 – 19 years who require subsides to assist with transport expenses to local sporting competitions.
Sport club teams and School club teams are defined as:
“a sports club team participating in organised sport competition through club membership outside of school time” and/or “a school club team participating in local sport competition in weekends, that exclude inter school and intra school competitions played during school time”
