Temporary Car Parks

With the increase in renovations taking place on buildings within the CBD, street side parking spaces are likely to be needed to assist with such works. All Contractors and Building owners are now required to contact Council in advance and fill in a Request Form as to where and when they will be working in the Greymouth CBD and the number of Council car parks they need to fulfil their duties.

The Request Form can be downloaded below for completing and bringing to our office or come into our offices during work hours to fill one in. In most cases Council will be able consider your application at the same time that you submit it.

Once your request has been approved, you will be given an authorised copy of the form to display in the dashboard of your vehicle - this notifies the Parking Wardens that you have received permission from Council and avoids you receiving a ticket.
