Anne Daniel is a fibre artist from Westland. She has been weaving for more than twenty years.

Flora and Form: Creations from the backyard

The artworks in this exhibition have been created entirely from plant materials grown, foraged or found in within five kilometres of Anne’s studio. They combine her passion for plants and gardening with that for basketry weaving and fibre art.

Shape, shadow, texture and natural colour are important to Anne, who creates with her head, hands and heart in response to the materials in front of her. She employs a wide range of plant materials and techniques in the works for this show.
