The History House Pop-up Museum tells the stories of the Grey
District and its people.
Displays feature long time businesses still in
operation today. These include Griffen & Smith, now trading as Mitre10 MEGA, that commenced in
1865 as a hardware store; and the Dispatch Foundry started in 1873, trading

Other interpretation panels feature Women
of the West Coast, showcasing items from the domestic space and information on
local Māori history.
