Road Closure - Lake Brunner Road, Inchbonnie

6PM Saturday 20 May – 8PM Monday 22 May 2023

Grey District Council advises motorists that KiwiRail has contracted Fulton Hogan to replace the Lake Brunner Road level crossing. The works are required to upgrade and improve the track conditions.

As a result, there will be a total road closure for the duration of two days from 20th May 2023 at 6PM till 22nd May 2023 at 8PM on Lake Brunner Road, between Jacksons and Moana. The two main impacts would be those travelling from Jacksons to Moana and those travelling through from Jacksons to Stillwater or vice versa.

A detour is available via State Highway 73 through to Greymouth then from State Highway 7, Greymouth to Stillwater and right onto Arnold Valley Road, Moana vice versa.
