​​Devi​ce Advice​
​Tuesdays, 10.30am to 11.30am

​Trouble with your smartphone, tablet, phablet, laptop, notebook, or other device? Then why not try Device Advice at the Library, a free weekly service offering help and advice for your digital problems.

No appointment necessary, just drop by.

Justices of the Peace​Tuesdays, 1pm to 3pm

​​The West Coast Justices of the Peace will run a service desk in the West Coast Room of the Library for members of the public who need their services.​

Baby Rock and Rhyme​Tuesdays, 11.30am to 11.50am (during term time)

​Baby Rock and Rhyme is a way for parents and carers to interact with their babies through songs, rhymes, and stories. It's a great opportunity to have fun, socialise, and spend quality time with your wee tot.​​

Reading with Waldo​Wednesdays, 3pm to 4pm

Waldo is our special and award-winning(!) canine friend and he loves to listen to children read. He doesn't interrupt, he doesn't criticise, and he doesn't judge.

Re​ading to animals is a great and proven way to improve reading levels and confidence as well as acclimatise young children to dogs.

So, if you are around or would like to give it try, come on in and re
ad a story to Waldo. He and Katie, from Two Brown Dogs and a Cat, look forward to meeting you.

Storytime​​Thursdays, 11am to 11.30am (during term time)

A relaxed and fun session of songs, rhymes, stories, and stickers(!) for pre-schoolers. All welcome.

White Ribbon Colouring CompetitionMonday, 25 November to Friday, 20 December

​Help support White Ribbon Day and raise awareness by entering a great colouring-in comptetition.  Winning art will be displayed in the Greymouth CBD!  

Colouring pages can be found at the Grey District Library and Runanga Community Library.

​Build, build, and build some more at our fun-packed Lego® Bricks Day! Spot prizes and colouring-in too, as well as an area for the younger children.​

​​The Great Paper Plane Caper VI​Tuesday, 21 January, 10am-12pm

​Enter by making a paper plane designed to fly as far as possible! Children can build a paper plane from 10am with the provided materials or come along with a plane already built. Take-off is set for 11am. Cool prizes to be won!

Summer Reading Challenge After-Party​​Wednesday, 22 January, 1.30pm-3pm

​Come and listen to internationally renowned storyteller, Andy Wright, perform some amazingly entertaining and super fun stories (approx. 45mins). Afterwards, catch up and celebrate with your fellow Summer Reading Challenge entrants and enjoy some complimentary refreshments. All welcome!
