Spring Creek Pool

Updated 9 June 2020.

The Spring Creek Swimming Pool in Runanga was officially opened on Saturday 10 December 2011 by Mayor Tony Kokshoorn and Chris Frogley, Chairman of the Runanga Community Swimming Pool Trust. The occasion marked a milestone of achievement for the loyal group of volunteers, sponsors, and contractors. The new pool received sponsorship from all quarters, including Spring Creek Mining Co, Runanga Pool Trust, Grey District Council and Solid Energy.

The pools have been constructed to provide the very best facilities - tiled tops, overflows, and easy accessibility for patrons.

Facilities include:

  • The main pool is 25m long with a maximum depth of 1.5m.
  • There is also an extra sloped learners' pool.
  • Male and female changing rooms.
  • Two sets of disability changing rooms.
