Conserve Water Notice Lifted

We’re happy to advise that Omoto reservoir levels are now back within normal operating levels and as there is a little rain forecast today, we are lifting the conserve water notice for the Greymouth Water Supply as at 9am, Saturday 29 December 2018. Hopefully residents with gardens will let the little bit of rain do the watering for them today rather than using the hose and sprinklers so we don’t have a big spike in water usage.

A big thank you to everyone for their help in reducing water use during this time. Also, this is a good time to remind people that we are heading into what is traditionally a fine/warm/dry time of year, so people should be mindful of their water use.

Arrangements for the permanent repair to the water break which occurred on Christmas Eve are still being made and we will update our website and Facebook page, www.facebook.com/GreyDC, to let people know when these works will occur once all the details are finalised.
