We're working on a strategy for Library & Museum Services which will guide our development over the next ten years. The strategy needs to be both aspirational and practical and reflect the needs and wishes of our community.
A workshop was held with Councillors in April to seek their views and we are now seeking feedback from our community. Some focus groups will be undertaken with stakeholders and we also have an online survey and storyboards, giving everyone an opportunity to have their say and submit their thoughts on how they see library and museum services into the future.
Next week there will be a display of some of the potential ideas at the Grey District Library and members of the community are invited to provide feedback on this. Coloured dots will be available from Library staff at the Service Desk for people to ‘vote’ on options and ideas. These storyboards will be up for a week, from Tuesday 11 June to Tuesday 18 June.
You can also give your feedback by answering a quick online survey - this can be completed at the Library if you need access to a computer. The survey will close on Friday 21 June, so have your say today. Click here to go to the survey.
This is a really important opportunity to help shape the future of Grey District’s library and museum services and we would really like your involvement. Please take some time to provide your feedback so that we hear from as many people in the community as we can. Even if you don’t use the Library at the moment – we still want to hear from you.
