Specified Systems Upgrade Requirements - Update from MBIE

It has come to Council's attention that across New Zealand there have been instances reported to the Ministry of Business Innovation & Employment (MBIE) where 'Independent Qualified Persons' (IQP's) have been insisting Building Owners upgrade their specified systems (eg fire alarms, sprinkler systems etc) to a current standard and withholding the requisite Form 12A's accordingly until the building works are undertaken.
