Pink Shirt Day has been running in New Zealand since 2009. The purpose of Paint the Town Pink is to encourage community engagement in the Pink Shirt Day Kaupapa to amplify the anti-bullying message sent by Pink Shirt Day.
The strategy is to light little fires everywhere and encourage each entity to engage in the week to get the message out in whatever way works for them.
We see struggle in our community around mental health, and we know bullying is the reason or at least a component of the reason of why people struggle with their mental health.
There will be high profile community members speaking at schools, in the media and on social channels about their experiences with bullying and how they mitigated it.
The goal is that everywhere anyone turns to – is pink.
Pink Shirt in Twon Square will host
