DWC's Community Resilience and Vibrancy (CRV) Fund opens
Applications are now open for Development West Coast's (DWC) Community Resilience and Vibrancy (CRV) Fund, with $1 million available for projects in the Grey District.
West Coast-based not-for-profit and charitable organisations can apply for between $10,000 and $300,000.
The one-off contestable fund supports projects that strengthen community resilience, improve community facilities, enhance energy resilience and contribute to vibrant West Coast towns and communities.
DWC may fund up to 65% of eligible project costs and will undertake eligibility checks, due diligence and assessment.
Applications are open to West Coast-based not-for-profit and charitable organisations, community organisations with a clear community purpose and appropriate governance structure, and local authorities where the project goes beyond normal business-as-usual responsibilities.
The fund will not cover wages, operating costs, retrospective projects, routine maintenance, council asset renewals or commercial projects.
Grey District Council will help deliver the fund.
“We encourage organisations to look at the criteria and talk with their council about projects that could make a lasting difference in their community,” DWC chief executive Heath Milne said.
Council group manager community and recreation Penny Kirk, said the was a great opportunity for community organisations to invest in projects that strengthen resilience, improve community facilities, and help with vibrancy projects in communities.
“We encourage groups to talk with Council early so we can help guide them through the application process.”
Applications must be submitted through Grey District Council, with DWC trustees making the final funding decisions.
The first round of applications closes on 3 November 2026.
