Water restored and conserve water notice lifted

Water has been restored following the shutdown at Coal Creek overnight, September 9.

The conservate water notice was subsequently lifted on September 11, at 11am.

Overnight, during work to move the water main at the Coal Creek bridge site, consumers were relying on reservoir supply.

The work was carried out from 10pm to 4am to minimise disruption.

The Council has reservoirs at Omoto, Arnott Heights, Tasman View, and Stanton Crescent. We were relying on these and, while the work was planned in detail, there was potential for loss of supply should it be extended for any reason.

There was the potential for water loss in some elevated areas, and limited or varying pressure during the works.
