2024 Report
The 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey provides a detailed picture of how Grey District residents feel about the services, facilities, and overall performance of Council. The report covers feedback collected between October 2023 and March 2025 and includes both quantitative ratings and extensive written comments from the community.
Residents reported high usage of Council facilities such as parks, libraries, public toilets, and the recycling centre. Satisfaction was strongest in areas like parks and reserves, libraries, and recreational facilities, where most respondents indicated they were “quite satisfied” or better. Core infrastructure such as water supply, sewerage, and stormwater showed mixed results.
Feedback highlighted several recurring themes: the condition of roads and footpaths, the need for improved waste and recycling services, and expectations for clearer communication and follow-up when residents contact Council. Comments also reflected pride in community assets and support for projects like the new library, alongside calls for more vibrant town development, better maintenance, and more consistent service delivery.
It was completed in-house to reduce costs.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in the survey. The complete report is available to read below.
