Community Waste Disposal Fund

The Community Waste Disposal Fund provides financial assistance to eligible community organisations and groups to help meet the cost of disposing of residual waste (refuse and non-recyclable materials) at McLeans Pit Landfill.

Funding is available through an annual application round, typically opening in June/July each year.

Eligibility

Applications are open to eligible organisations/groups, including:

• Churches and church organisations
• Welfare organisations and community support groups
• Sporting clubs, organisations, and associations
• Community organisations

Applicants must meet the Fund's eligibility criteria.

Council will also consider the extent to which organisations are actively reducing landfill waste through waste minimisation practices, including recycling and the reuse of materials.
